One of our local columnists put on a debate whether libraries are relevant anymore. With the exception of 1 or 2, the response has been overwhelmingly positive even with the younger ones who posted.
Given the state of the beleaguered DC system, it is hard to make a case in the city proper. But as the library there is just another part of the overall structural problems in the whole educational system it is not surprising.
