Co-Presenter Name(s):
Area of the World from Which You Will Present: Southern Utah
Language in Which You Will Present: English
Target Audience(s): Anyone interested in teaching students how to cite information.
Short Session Description (one line): Shouldn't there be a better, easier way to cite sources, at least for underclassmen, in our 2.0 world?
Full Session Description (as long as you would like): Citation styles are many, varied, picky and difficult for students to grasp. In this program, we will examine why we cite from different perspectives and look at citation formats. Then we will look at alternative ways to cite information that may or may not be better adapted to a 2.0 world, and collect feedback from the audience on what they would like to see in a simplified citation style that would better serve the needs of teachers and students.
