Full Session Description (as long as you would like): As librarians, we recognize information literacy as the vital skill set for the 21st century. We know it is the cornerstone of lifelong learning. Our students, however, often view it with disdain (to put it mildly). In this session we will look at why that is, and how we might turn it around. We will look how digital storytelling aligns with ACRL standards. We will see how digital storytelling gets at some underserved aspects of info lit, like creativity, and look at some examples of the positive reactions that students have to information literacy when approached through the frame of digital storytelling.

I am looking forward to your presentation and the resources for further reading . Good Luck
This sounds fascinating. Do you have a time slot set? I don't seem to be able to find this session on the schedule, and I'm not sure if that's because I'm missing it amongst the multitude of options, or because it's not there yet!
They have me on 10/4 at 10PM Eastern. That'll be a long day.
Unfortunately, that's 3am on a work night for me, so I won't be able to join the session live, but I'll look forward to catching up with the recording.
