I'm trying to use tales from outer suburbia as a focal point for a high school level book talk.  I'm planning on book-talking the suburbia book but then providing an additional reading list of grade 9-12 novels that are reminsicent of the themes from each of Tan's short stories.  I'd like to try to find "if you liked, then you'll like" partners for each of the 15 short stories in Tan's book.  Anyone have any good recommendations?
