Short Session Description (one line): A Theoretical Framework for Small & Rural Libraries Supporting Entrepreneurs

Full Session Description (as long as you would like): In the last year, a renewed focus on the effect of the economy on small and rural communities leads them to exploring more entrepreneurial activities. Based on several months of travel and work in small and rural libraries, I propose a model for harnessing the craft knowledge and work ethic of rural patrons with the amplification and community-building strengths of libraries in developing communities of practice around online craft businesses like Etsy.com.
