Hi Library 2.0 community!

My name is Eduardo Giordanino. I am currently System Librarian at Information and Library System (SISBI) of the Universidad de Buenos Aires. I have over 20 years experience in special and university libraries.

In addition to this practical experience, I am a professor at the University of Buenos Aires, in Carrera de Edicion (Course of Publishing and Editing) since 1996. I have written a technical book and some papers about librarianship, information retrieval and education resources.

I am interested in the new ways of communication (2.0) of users, librarians and publishers.

I look forward to learning with you all.

Hello Eduardo

My name is Martin and I am System Librarian, but I am only beginner. Have you some book or articles about librarian systems (some studies about Aleph or another librarian system, maybe opensource systems)? Thanks a lot.

Have a nice day

Martin

Hello Martin

I work as a System Librarian, but my book is about the course I teach at the University (something like bibliographic description for publishers). I didn't use Aleph, in Argentina I knew various colleagues that uses Koha and PMB. Maybe in ELIS you will find studies about library systems.

Regards

Eduardo

thanks a lot for your information. If I need a problem with KOHA (I try as a system), can I ask for some information?

And what is system PMB? Thanks a lot

Regards

Martin

Hi Martin

Sorry but I am not using Koha actually, I use CDS/ISIS family software (http://portal.unesco.org/ci/en/ev.php-URL_ID=2071&URL_DO=DO_TOP...) but is not an ILMS.

You can find info about PMB at:
