Full Session Description (as long as you would like): 

Taking experience from community hackerspace management, this session will detail solutions for common challenges in a library makerspace, from mess, storage, donations and safety to building culture and a healthy community. 

Stephanie is currently the Community Engagement Coordinator at the University of Southern Queensland and manages the Library Makerspace.  In volunteer time, she also acts as the President of the Brisbane Hackerspace, Australia’s largest community workshop open 24/7.  These two spaces are very different, but tackle similar challenges.  This seminar will draw parallels and offer advice for the budding library makerspace.
