Short Session Description: Describe the various roles that students and librarians play in the governance of scholarly journals and the potential learning outcomes for participating students.
Full Session Description (as long as you would like):
The presenters have experience in the governance of student-published, digital, open access, scholarly journals, and in the instruction of student participants. Two of the presenters are the current Editor-In-Chief and the Managing Editor of the Student Research Journal, edited and led by graduate students of the School of Library and Information Science at San Jose State University. One was also an Editor and Senior Editor of the University of Pennsylvania Journal of Constitutional Law. The third presenter is a Managing Faculty Co-Editor to the Undergraduate Economic Review, published by the Department of Economics at Illinois Wesleyan University with the editorial support of undergraduate students of Illinois Wesleyan University and other undergraduate institutions.
