Full Session Description (as long as you would like):

Identifying the needs of online constituents beyond the fundamentals (hosting and providing online resources) can be a challenge for any type of library.  While satisfaction surveys are a potentially valuable tool, they are 1) difficult to administer to online populations; 2) traditionally weighted to physical space & resources in the question bank; 3) challenging to utilize because other institutional teams (IT, marketing, faculty, etc.) factor into revising & developing online resources and services.

In 2008, Rasmussen College administered the LibQUAL+ survey to its students, 80% of which take one or more online courses.  In addition, we began administering a point-of-service survey via the online tool Survey Monkey.  During this presentation, we will review the administration of this survey, our selection and interpretation of questions related to our online population, and our actions as a result of survey data.
