the future of libraries in the digital age
Hello, welcome, and thank you for volunteering to serve on the International Advisory Board! Your efforts will help ensure a truly global representation of the LIS profession.
To help make things a bit easier for you, Scott and I have drafted several brief messages that you are welcome to use "as is" or adapt in any way that's useful for you. They are:
Tweets:
Build your global LIS visibility! Present at the Library 2.012 virtual conference (Oct 3-5): http://bit.ly/JeEITR #LIB2012
Build your global LIS connections! Volunteer for the Library 2.012 virtual conference (Oct 3-5) at http://bit.ly/NxQxHo #LIB2012
Short message:
The Library 2.012 Virtual Conference is drawing closer, and it’s a perfect opportunity for you to share your knowledge, experience, and insights with students and practitioners eager to learn from your expertise. Last year’s inaugural conference drew 6,800 participants from 153 countries in 36 time zones! We’d love to reach even further this year, so are hoping that many of you in countries around the globe will participate.
If you’re interested in presenting at the virtual conference (terrific professional visibility!), submit your proposal at http://www.library20.com/page/proposal-submission-2012; to see what proposals have already be accepted, check out the list at http://www.library20.com/forum/categories/library-2-012-accepted-co...; and to volunteer, go to http://www.library20.com/group/volunteer-group-library-2-012?xg_sou....
There’s a great overview of the conference at http://www.library20.com/page/2-012-conference - check it out, and join in!
I hope these are useful for you, and again, thank you so much for your efforts to promote the conference!
Best,
Kim Dority
