wow...VIP treatment, surely you have other stuff to do, right?? I'll head in then just before 4:30 and wait for David to come in with Carol to upgrade them.

@Roxanne:  just drop in!  I'll be in the room early, so just come in as a regular participant and I'll upgrade you!

Hi Steve,
Unfortuately, I have been called to Sacramento and am unable to moderate sessions unless I can just drop in if things work out when I arrive there. Dr. Loertscher asked me to assist him in his session tonight at 5:00 pst. Then I will be doing my presentation tomorrow from Sacramento. Do you know if someone has been assigned to "Creating a School Learning Commons" to assist today at 5:00? I've been reading to see that we can only use the special link for one person who then upgrades presenter etc as they come in. Should I expect someone to come and "babysit" the room around 4:30 when I upload his presentation? I converted to whiteboards and it loaded fine when I tried it this morning. Roxanne

Hi Steve, I'm sorry but I think I need to bow out of my 7 p.m. moderating session. I woke up this morning feeling awful and I haven't felt any better as the day goes. If Im feeling better later or tomorrow, I'll make sure to come to the lounge and volunteer. I'm so sorry for the short notice.

Irene--so sorry!  Just get better.  We'd love to have your help, but do what's best for you!

Hi Steve - I'm signed up for 3 shifts today and 4 tomorrow, all in the afternoon. I've come down with quite the flu and missed work today - I'd like to attempt to still assist with moderating these two days but am not sure I'll be able to, depending on how I'm feeling. I'll try to make it, but wanted to give a heads up and let you know why I am absent, if it comes to that.

Kathy: I'm so sorry. Don't worry about it--plenty else for you to be thinking about. If you were to watch one of the training videos, I'm sure you'd do fine, and if you feel brave enough, please do come to the volunteer lounge and let us know you are available!

I failed to mention in my previous post, but I'm sure you've all heard how bad it is here...The power outage is due to our snow storm that hit Sat./Sun.

I am in Western Massachusetts.  I signed up to volunteer for a couple slots and then planned to check in to see where help was needed.  I planned on doing the training on 8/31.

We lost power Saturday night.  We still have no power except from the generator a friend drove down from NH yesterday.  Our cable/internet/phone turned on a couple hours ago today, so I am finally online, although much of my neighborhood still is without this service and I'm keeping my finger's crossed I won't loose mine again.

I am not going to help out; at this point, I am hoping to be even able to participate in the conference.

Sorry about this!

Kathy Layer
