Comment by Nancy Faget on September 26, 2011 at 2:42pm From what I see of the other speakers and proposals, I'm in excellent company. At first I thought "Alternate Careers in Federal Libraries" wouldn't translate well even though I know there are now Careers in Federal Libraries events in Canada.
I finally decided that there is a universal need for people to better manage their careers, and students and job seekers enjoy a fresh perspective on what they can do with their MLIS degree.
And @Natalie Teske Rector nudged me into it, too.
There are less than three weeks to a "2.011 preconference" webinar opportunity
of 9 sessions shared from WLMA's very real and face to face conference in Spokane WA. Hosted in conjunction with 2.011, our school librarians conference offerings are worth checking out.
Presenters include Joyce Valenza, Michelle Luhtala, Mike Eisenberg, Karen Bonnano, Richard Byrne and yes, Steve Hargadon interviewing David Loertscher.
Lewis and Clark weren't the only trailblazers to pass by the Spokane Falls! Join us Oct. 14-15. All free, all LIT.
