Hello,

There are actually people from Sydney using this ning. That's refreshing :).

Thanks Ken for your comment - we will fix this in future blog postings. I am glad you and everyone else in this group are enjoying the course.

Just catching up during the break - this one seems harder to get motivated by than Library 2.0

I am enjoying Library 2.1 very much but ...
can I make a suggestion ?
Can you make the links in the body of the 2.1 blog at http://publiclibrariesnewtechnologies.blogspot.com/ open in a different window ? It is a hassle navigating back and forth between the links and the blog.
Keep up the good work
Grumpy Ken

Changed my name back to Chinese one.
I've just talked to a colleague from other library and asked how to attract people into the library blog. I don't know how you run it. We have Parra Reads here which I have set it up since April. It took while to get message out to the community. I have to use a lot of traditional ways to tell people what we do on the blog and how to access it. I do bookmarks and reading brochure as well. So whatever I make I remember to leave a corner for 'reading & blogging'. I also promote it through reading groups, author talk events etc. So far we catch up. We have a lot hits, sometimes more than 1000 per day. I also find I have to update it quickly. So if I get a news on any particular literature award on weekend, then I post a quick short notes there. I link all titles and authors directly to our online catalogue which is easy for people to check holdings. I've developed more categories. Book reviews always get more viewers. Hope to hear from your exprience as well.

Hi Ellen,
I am very much enjoying the Learning 2.0 and 2.1 program that your team have introduced to us. It has helped me a lot in my job as well in my personal self learning. I now know where the good sites to follow are and how to subscribe them. I also picked up a lot of excellent ideas from people all over the world. I really appreciate you and your team's enthusiasm and how you always encourage people to learn more about new technology.
Lilly.
