I am a new member, working at the Oyo State Library Board, Nigeria as Assistant System Librarian. The Library is trying its best to perform in the face of political interference, lack of funds, shortage of staff, unconducive working environment and so on. There is an ICT centre performing mainly as a Cybercafe, Training in Computing (free service to library users). I believe as an information scientist I shouldnt be disturbed with these challenges and that this is the best forum to hear, share, learn and work together to better our various libraries. I ll like members to educate,share with, me on how to improve d situation in my library as a committed librarian. I believe there's need to provide more than we are doing at present for our teeming users.

Key point though is that a small minority of library users in a number of countries surveyed thought they'd be interested in actually using a library-based site in this way (see page 163 of that report for example).
