Hello, world! I'm a soon-to-be graduate of SJSU's MLIS program, and I am very excited to get started in this career! I recently got hired as a library assistant at a career college, and I am finding out exactly what that means and how to serve this community.  Anyone else have any insights on career college librarianship?

I'm bran new to librarianship. I'll be starting my MLIS program at San Jose State in Jan '12, and I'm currently exploring volunteer and internship possibilities in the SF Bay Area. I'm also a lawyer, and I hope to become a law librarian in an academic setting. Anyone in this group familiar with San Jose State's program?

I am an MLIS student interested in medical librarianship.  I am interested to learn about others' experiences in their jobs, the job market, etc.

I'm a newly-hired reference librarian, winding up my MLIS coursework.  I'm really interested in hearing about how others' early employment experiences are going and what you're finding of value.

I'm a first-year student at the University of Toronto's iSchool (Masters of Information in the Library & Information Science stream, 2-year program) in Canada. Looking forward to hearing the experience of new librarians, experienced librarians, and other students, and discussing the issues around the Library 2.0 concept and the future of libraries.
