Greetings.  Just graduated with my MLIS.  I am looking forward to discussions with fellow new librarians. I am mostly focused on art librarianship; is anyone else out there in the forum an art librarian?

Good Morning all,

I am a corporate information officer (combining library management with research skills). I still feel pretty "new" to the career as I don't have a background in Library skills (no related degree or prfessional qualifications I am afriad), but I love the work I do and am surprised everyday at how much there is to learn.

I am looking forward to hearing other experiences and learning more about staying up to date!

Hello everyone!

I'm currently halfway through my MLIS program and applying to entry-level jobs in the library field. I look forward to hearing about all of your experiences as new librarians and hope to be joining you soon!

Respected Colleague

I am doing research on "Security & Risk Management
Policies for Libraries to Prevent Cyber Threats”. As I am a librarian in police
library, it’s my first duty to secure information in library. It is a wakeup
call for librarian, because libraries are soft target for hacking.

The main objective of the research is to gather information
about cyber security for library services.

I will be very thankful to you, if you are ready to help and
fill the questionnaire, please mail me faridbazmi@rediffmail.com;
faridbazmi@hotmail.com; I will sent a questionnaire for your valuable comments.

With kind regards.

Hello,
I'm still a student in the Library and Info Technology area and can't wait to start working at a public library soon! I'm also new to all the web 2.0 and library 2.0 stuff and I want to learn as much as I can!
