Hi Erin,
i don't check mine regularly at all. unfortunately the revamping of the internet and now with starting revamping of the intranet my time is being consumed and i'm missing keeping up with them all. Was quite excited to hear about some of the social networking browsers which allow you to have your feeds on your homepage but haven't downloaded one to try out yet.
have you tried google sites? It's quite fun and i think that's part of my problem -i've subscribed to so many feeds it's quite daunting to find the time to keep up.
Won't be going to that conference after all which is a shame but unfortunately i'd missed the enrolment date and to enrole late was quite costly, but i'll keep looking.

Hi Erin, i really appreciate the link to the conference list. from this list i discovered a conference happening in sydney in december that i hadn't heard of. so now i'll see if i can register for that and if i can i will definately give you feedback on what happens at the confrence. My colleague and i were just laughing at how a conference is happening in sydney but the way we hear about it is from someone in the States - gotta love cyber space!

Hi Erin, i'm quite jealous actually. As far as i can tell there are more regular, structured events like confrences in the US than we have here. I've been to a few at the State Library of NSW which have been great and very inspiring. The speakers i have seen and really enjoyed are from overseas and whilst i check in on their blogs it's just not the same. I still like a bit of real time mixed in with my e-world...the enthusiasm is infectious. Side question: are you a fan of Pink? I was lucky enough to see her in concert 2 nights ago in a very small and intimate venue and was blown away by her performance.

We're hoping that the blogs will take off. Realistically we expect that it will take a while for some of the target groups to access and become comfortable but the training of patrons is also so much fun and there does appear to be a lot of interest in people being able to express themselves. I don't think we will be able to link in with Flickr, Facebook and MySpace (yet). I've just spent the last 2 days having further Legal information access training which was really fun and has given me more ideas on other ways we can utilize 2.0.

Hi Erin, hope you had a good weekend. We've just changed our website and it's still being developed so hopefully we will be adding more. We have plans for adding blogs for kids and teens and alos for our book clubs which are hugely popular. We've been lobbying for quite some time to get these up and running and i'm quite excited about them. we have so many people coming in to the library using networking sites and i think they will be popular. Have you had much experience with Library Customers using 2.0 within you branch?

Hi Erin, yes we are heading in to summer and we're having beautiful sunshine filled days.... It's school holidays here at the moment so the library is full of very eager and excited children doing lots of activities and taking full advantage of the warm weather. How are things where you are?
