A recent graduate, I tailored my education at the University of Wisconsin – Madison’s library science program toward special and academic libraries. While I found success in many areas of traditional library courses and had a 120-hour practicum at the campus law library, I did additionally enroll in a law course: Federal Law and Indian Tribes. Additionally, I became enamored with government documents during my first year at SLIS. Beyond that, my time in the Preservation Department of Memorial Library on campus honed my cataloging skills and working with old and rare serials and microfilm. As such, I do come to the field with experience in many practical areas of librarianship, despite my recent arrival on the job market. Beyond my classroom and work experience in an academic setting, I bring with me enthusiasm, creativity, and ambition.
