What 2.0 tools have you added to your webpage that seem most useful to patrons?

Hey, Tom!
Thanks for the "young" compliment... hahaha... I am actually a mid-life LIS student... :)

Checking out your school library site and poking around the aquabrowser. Very nice!

Hi Tom,
Yes, I would like to come by and visit in the new year. Sounds like your cramming session was good for all. Jackie Schafer organized that at Bel Tib. I doubt that our branch manager would go for that. Do you think it would be popular? If you encouraged it she might be more inclined. Staying until midnight doesn't sound like much fun for me I must admit. We do have many private tutors here in the afternoons. MCFL also has "Live Homework Help" which is online, live, one on one tutoring. I would like to get the word out on that. Do you have any suggestions on publicizing this?
I want to check out your "Redwood Reads!" Can you add me to the list? Can I get further information by googling "Good Reads"?
As for the School Librarians meetings. I have attended twice as a guest. Martha Kassin of Civic Center library is a friend of Lori Deibel and was invited by Lori to attend on a regular basis. The current thinking of the MCFL Teen librarians is that one of us will attend each meeting. By rotating the visits we hope to have all of us get a chance to meet your group.
We are already making preliminary plans for Teen Summer Reading. The theme is "Metamorphosis". Can you suggest any ways I can publicize this at Redwood? I visit the Seventh graders at the local middle schools. I have posters but I think face to face is better.
See you next year,
Bonnie G.

Good Reads is a social networking site. You can join as an individual and then share book reviews, etc. You can also set up groups which can be monitored--which is what I'm interested in using. I have set up a group called Redwood Reads! (our long-time reading promotion slogan) The URL is http://www.goodreads.com

Tom,
I am glad you let me know about this ning. As you can see I added a picture. I set my page up at work last night while I opened up late for some kids finishing history day, and not all my picts are on flickr. I'll be working more on my profile over the days.
is good reads a ning too? Guess I am going to have to get in and check stuff out a little more over the break.
Happy Holidays.
