About Me:

I am not a rocking chair librarian. My library management philosophy is closely aligned with Standards for the 21st Century Learner --school libraries must transform themselves from a place to merely “check out books” to an information hub combining classic library assets with technology-based resources and information literacy and research strategy instruction. I am an evangelist for this change, fostering an atmosphere in the library media center (LMC) that encourages students to investigate and scrutinize all aspects of the information environment and become discerning consumers of information.
