I have been asked to be involved in a consultation event for a teaching support project - Subject Learning Coaches where one of the questions to be addressed is 'Building a learning community - how do we develop a strategy to turn the 90% of lurkers in online forums into occasional or active participants?

At risk of starting to obsess about Facebook, but I read this post yesterday about a case of online bullying close to home - the library at my University. A library staff member has been on the receiving end of bullying from a group of students via Facebook. Pretty distressing for him by all accounts. Sorry I haven't been around that much... haven't been posting at my site much either, as it happens!
Elephant Words, the reason for that, is finally finished. Don't know if you've had a chance to look at it (it was very late at night when I texted you the link), but hopefully it's worth a look, and more is added daily!
I was actually already at ning, as a member of The Engine network, but I suspect this network will have a very different flavour to it.
