Why am I here?

I'm just trying to learn more about "social networking" to see how it works. I want to get a feel for its applicability to my Library. Also, I want to see how much time it takes to maintain a presence on this kind of site. I have seen kids using MySpace, and frankly could not see what all the fuss was about.
