Kevin, I think it is really good that you have created this group to talk about leadership issues. As I travel and work with libraries across the country, I see increasing interest in the development of high level leadership communication skills and behaviors as a way to promote healthy change in our organizations. What is most interesting to me is the readiness of library staff at all levels to learn about and practice leadership behaviors when they are introduced and explained. I find the level of interest extremely high and the follow through after training quite robust. This seems to be true whether I am working in academic or public library settings.
