digital copyright ids a concept which i feel is creating more of a mess in my mind as a librarian as i have to balance between many thi ngs?And how to get  the thing on the right track is the question bothering me?

non-profit publishing costs transparency demanded

The G. Maxwell case makes me think about transparency in publishing costs. I would expect greater transparency about operational costs in non-profit publishing than in a commercial publisher, and I'm not sure which side of the fence JSTOR actually is these days.

Ancient photo albums

Does anyone have any hot tips for getting photos out of ancient photo albums - the ones no-one should have used - sticky pages with plastic covers. Trying to scan or re-photo family archives for a powerpoint presentation. Links to sites or info would be appreciated.
