I have not been logged on for a week - mainly due to the fact that I do not find the site that easy to use, and these days I just move on in these situations as I do not have the time. My first post on here was a moan and now I see Connie has added a much fuller rant which covers a lot of what annoys me on here, and the Ning folks have replied - rightly saying this is still the beginning, and that improvements are on the way.

So, for now I am going to stick it out, as it would be good to have useful library/information related network.

I remember reading a wiki is in the works, I think that will be nice. I wish I could subscribe to the RSS feed of, say, a friend's chatter page- sometimes I leave a comment, and they reply on their own page, which I don't see right away.

At least it's not as bad as myspace, and I got rid of the ads. (http://userstyles.org/style/show/299)

I agree that it's not easy to use, and I find the lack of documentation frustrating.

To my mind, if this were a 2.0 site, we should be able to assemble our "mypages." Just like the personalized version of Google, we should be able to select the modules we want, be able to position them as we like, and display however much of them as we want. Similarly, the "menu" should not be restricted to the 8 topics above, but we should be able to add more to the basic number - I find myself constantly having to open new tabs to follow a link. Why can't I do that without departing from the main page?
