"old school?" me too! luckily my co-workers are older than I am...and reluctant to change. So in this small town I am competing against myself. I kind of envy your situation. The grass is always greener...

Don't try to catch up. You never will. Even the cutting edge people are behind if you think like that. Do you what you want, when you want it. I agree with Michelle, take what is useful and leave the rest. If you can't use it, don't. I only have a ning account, a twitter, and a blog and I think that is more than enough.
