CMS is required for better Library Services

Dear all,
I feel Content management System is a powerful tool to keep more frequently library service more than Library Management Systems. Because CMS or Web CMS has enormous facilities and qualities to manage contents. Content may be anything. like image, papers, books, newspapers, magazine, vedio, audio... etc. CMS able to make them more continent and allow to access all around. It include 2.0 function, blogs, web designing with out the web designing languages, and keep content save as longer as want.

Yes. No doubt that we need LMS to maintain our traditional operations and CMS required for the value added services, which can be responsive and anticipatory services. CMS to utilize the collected data in more planned and convenient uses.

You still need a LMS to do core library functions like circulation, acquisitions , cataloguing. Web2 tools are useful for current awareness and customer feedback

I planned to play around with Drupal this summer when things slow down in my library. I look forward to hear your thoughts on it Sujit.
