Last September 17, Tthe Information Resource Center of the U.S. Mission in Brazil, located in Rio de Janeiro, held a one day trainign on Library Advocacy.  The program was presented by Marci Merola, Director of the Library Advocacy Office of American Library Association (ALA), and Carol Brey-Casiano, Information Resource Officer for the U.S. Embassy in Brazil.  Around 30 Brazilian librarians attended the event with great interest for they`re planning to implement the library services advocacy in our country.  Thanks,
