Hi James,
I'm a teacher librarian & recently started a community based blog for getting boys to read - http://GettingBoysToRead.com. Please send me a friend request if you'd like to network, share ideas, and learn more about getting boys to read.
I am very happy to have found this group. I was the Automation Librarian in north San Diego County until 5 years ago. After moving to Arizona and working as an elementary school librarian for a few years I find that I seriously need to catch up on 2.0 issues and applications. I am looking forward to participating and learning in this group.
Thanks,
Rosemary Tarenskeen
James -
Good to see more midwestern public librarians working on 2.0 issues. I share your concerns wtih finding ways for more people on a library's staff to get involved.
Thank Jim -- so much discussion seems to be focused on academic community this will be a nice change. A lot of the essentials behind 2.0 theory is second nature to many librarians but it will be exciting to heat what others are doing.
James Lenze, Please tell me more about the public library group in TwoPointOh. I have some historical perspectives on library computers from the 1980s and a lot of urban branch experience (between then and now). Nate
Hi James, thanks for notification re: the Public Libraries group, I have some conversation to offer about the first posted topic, but must find time.....
