Hi Michael,
I'm a teacher librarian & recently started a community based blog for getting boys to read - http://GettingBoysToRead.com. Please send me a friend request if you'd like to network, share ideas, and learn more about getting boys to read.

Sincerely,
Mike McQueen

that's awesome! i got that link from a colleague at another library who "tweeted" about it on twitter and he got it from Resource Shelf. sadly i don't keep up with my RSS feeds like i should, but luckily i'm connected to friends who do! ;)

Check out these library-related conferences. There are quite a few in Australia! I do like some of Pink's music. I imagine a live concert would be quite an experience! Jealous!

Wow! Sounds like you're doing a great job! I'm looking forward to hearing what new innovations our Webmaster brings back from the Internet Librarian conference going on here in the U.S. Maybe we'll get going on some new stuff here pretty soon too! ;)

our blog has definitely been a popular feature on our website, so that's very exciting that you're getting ready to add one! the sites that seem to be the most popular with our patrons are myspace and youtube. some of the teens also use gaia online for social networking.

no snow yet though they're thinking maybe the first one this weekend. boise can be very beautiful especially spring through fall. winter's a bit dead and brown if it doesn't snow enough. i'm actually at a county library (www.adalib.org) more in the outlying parts of town. took a look around your website, especially the kids and teens and catalog, lots of fun stuff!

just struggle and work at it...and it'll clear up eventually.

keep at it. One thing that may help - since Ning sites are terribly slow - is that you may want to subscribe to discussions with a newsreader - like Bloglines, or Google Newsreader. Then check back at the original site every so often.

Hi Michael, just wanted to say I love your pictures of Sydney, it makes me want to visit there again (only been once but loved it)! Such a loooong way from my home on the US east coast though!
