Perhaps we could all organize a mixer for those of us who will be attending ALA? Might be a good opportunity to not only network, but to also meet our virtual connections.

Sounds good to me. I'll be there. The TOTAL party animals could then attend this ALA mixer afterwards:

That's an ALA Facebook party (requires Facebook account to view the particulars):

Start Time: Saturday, June 23, 2007 at 11:00pm
End Time: Sunday, June 24, 2007 at 2:00am
Location: R.F.D. Washington (between H and I on 7th)
Street: 810 7th St NW

I'll probably be asleep by then! :)
While I am not going to attend the conference itself I'm planning to at least look at the exhibits (I'm a suburbanite in MD). So I'd love to make it if I could. I ddin't make it to the CIL dinner and the lunch one kind of fizzled.
What a great idea. Keep us posted about when and where? Even a breakfast would be great. Count me in.
Reservation Set!
I've made a reservation at Front Page Restaurant for Saturday, June 23rd at 5:30 (5pm would be better Tom said) under my name, Lakegan. Front Page is VERY close to the Dupont Circle Metro (Red Line, Dupont SOUTH exit, it's right across the street) on the right hand side if you exit from the SOUTH exit of Dupont Circle Metro. Sorry I was not able to get something close to the convention center. It will be cash and carry, so bring cash (will make it easier), and we can order food and drinks from the bartender. Any questions, please email me directly:
Hope to see you all there.

Metro Information: (those staying near convention center: traveling from Convention Center, or Gallery Place metro to Dupont Circle)

Great! I'm looking forward to it. I'm bringing a colleague along with me, I hope that's OK.
Yes it's fine.
Sorry I didn't make it -- how did it go?
