Ironically, public librarians censor when the information involves their own cities' public libraries. Boston Public Library annual departmental curatorial reports to the BPL President and Board are censored from public view contrary to FOI freedom of information public records principles, sunshine open public meeting principles and intellectual freedom principles!
What can be done to get our Boston Public Library to advocate for a Mayoral Directive and advocate for a Boston City Council Order for the more routine transmittal of current municipal documents to our public library Government Documents Department?... Current Boston municipal documents need to be a more robust BPL Government Documents Department collection!
