Full Session Description (as long as you would like):

What do you share online during a crisis? When should you post it? Where should post it? We’ll begin with a case study of a real New York prison break and discuss what went wrong on social media. We’ll cover theories and best practices of crisis communication. Then we’ll do a tabletop exercise on a realistic (but fictional) situation that could be encountered by any organization. Attendees will work in small groups to create a plan. Then we’ll come together as a large group to benefit from the wisdom of the collective.

Don’t forget to bring your laptop or mobile device for the opportunity to apply new knowledge and participate in a little friendly competition!

  • Understand best practices for crisis communication
  • Create a checklist for use during a crisis
  • Note action items to implement as soon as you get back to work
