This session will describe how the Wisconsin Digital Archives digital collection has built interest and support for state government information by engaging audiences through the use of social media.


Full Session Description (as long as you would like):

The Wisconsin Digital Archives is a growing collection of electronic state documents that have been digitally archived. The collection offers full-text access in a searchable database to content that provides public perspective on state government programs and a wealth of information about all aspects of life in Wisconsin.


This session will discuss

·         Development of the collection

·         Integration of social media and Web 2.0 technology

·         Use of Google Analytics to track usage

·         Identification of new audiences

·         Interactions with audiences that bring relevancy to the content
