Short Session Description (one line): Merging Library Services and Digital Learning: The Beginning Stages and Vision

Full Session Description (as long as you would like): At Carlow University, the Center for Digital Learning and Innovation has come under the same umbrella (and directorship) as Library Services. Both departments at Carlow will now come under the umbrella of "Grace Library" - meaning that the digital learning and instructional design department is now part of the academic library. This is part of a strategic pivot at the University to bring both resource centers together under the same leadership - a one-stop-shop for instructional design, learning management systems, and research resources for the entire community. As the Interim Director and librarian leading this change at a small liberal arts university, Bret Stiffler will discuss the nexus between digital learning resources and library resources, where these departments intersect, and what the vision for the future of Grace Library will entail.
