Short Session Description (one line): Multiliteracy is becoming increasing important as more information is available in a digital format and students are able to blend digital materials with print to create new sources of information.
Full Session Description (as long as you would like): Students have a variety of sources and increasingly their projects go beyond the traditional research paper or Power Point presentation. As they search for information they have a choice of videos, images and other digital resources they can incorporate into their projects, but in order to do they that they need to determine why the material is relevant to their project and how they can incorporate it into their project. Multiliteracy is becoming the new Information Literacy but as librarians we need to help students identify resources that are relevant and how they can be incorporated within the legal requirements of copyright law.
