Full Session Description (as long as you would like):

Surveys show 60% of students don't buy their assigned textbooks. How can we guarantee that students read their assignments and how can we enhance pedagogy bt concentrating valuable class time on problem areas? If we replace stand-alone textbooks with embedded materials (i.e. full text journal articles, videos, etc) we (1) can add quizzes to demonstrate that students have read and understood the basic concepts, and (2) add quizzes to determine the problem areas that should be expanded upon in class sessions.
