Short Session Description (one line): A discussion of a mindfulness program in a public library which uses a Secular Buddhist approach.

Full Session Description (as long as you would like): I will discuss the benefits of mindfulness meditation from a Secular Buddhist standpoint (sometimes called Buddhism 2.0). My experience of facilitating a weekly group will be discussed including my use of library materials, multimedia presentation, and current technology. Emphasis will be placed upon a specific approach to the topic of mindfulness for the community and how the public library is the perfect place for such a community to grow. A Secular Buddhist point of view and how it fits a library's mission including nonsectarian ideals and diversity.
