The Impact of Technology on Library Design

Full Session Description (as long as you would like):

This paper explores the impact of technology on the design of very recent and future libraries. It questions whether library buildings will become obsolete or just evolve to adapt to their changing roles within their communities. Three recently designed library buildings are examined: Seattle Central Library; Goucher College Athenaeum in Baltimore; and the Republic Polytechnic Library in Singapore.
