Creative Librarians Group

This Library 2.0 group is for anyone interested in celebrating creativity in libraries.

Those of us that work in libraries are some of the most interesting, resourceful, intelligent, and talented people on the planet. This will be a place for us to share our unique insights, inspirations, and Aha! moments with kindred spirits.

Much of what allows us to be the wonderful professionals that we are comes from our personal lives, so feel free to think outside the “Library” box when posting in this group. We'll understand that your contributions are somehow - maybe in a totally original way - related to your professional journey.

Please join us.

Question: Our library is working on a newsletter. Does anyone out there have something AMAZING we could use as a model? Examples please!

I am a teacher-librarian at an alternative HS and recently launched I love the concept of creative libraries. Someday I need to share all the crazy things I have done in my library!

Respected Colleague

I am doing research on "Security & Risk Management
Policies for Libraries to Prevent Cyber Threats”. As I am a librarian in police
library, it’s my first duty to secure information in library. It is a wakeup
call for librarian, because libraries are soft target for hacking.

The main objective of the research is to gather information
about cyber security for library services. The research itself asks many
questions about library’s computer network security, cyber threat (privacy,
identity theft etc.), vulnerabilities, risk management, security policy,
security audit etc.

I will be very thankful to you, if you are ready to help and
fill the questionnaire, please mail me;; I will sent a questionnaire for your valuable comments.

With kind regards.

says I am glad to have joined this group today. I am so happy to know that there are creative librarians in the world--who just don't stamp books, but actually write-publish-create visual art, etc.! --Let's ROCK!
