What type of paper do you use in your printers?

We are currently using 30% recycled paper. We were told 100% recycled paper leaves dust residue which wears down the rollers- the hardware- inside the printer.

Your thoughts on paper/recycled paper and usage?

I know you are specifically interested in how to take advantage of web 2.0 in greening libraries so this may not be of interest but at the Greater Victoria Public Library we have begun to try to implement a cradle to cradle philosophy around all our operations.  This includes sustainable purchasing, supplier codes of conduct, education, transportation and recycling.  We are using online ordering  internally and externally (tracking still an issue); a ticketing system for requesting service; IM for virtual reference and an almost paperless payroll/hr system we are still working the bugs out of.  We are by no means “there” and all this is in constant flux. For example, we are currently struggling with how to better handle our recycling (must include all organics by 2015!).    What are others doing and finding?
