We invited some of the local kids (who were strumming their guitars in the library) to participate in Story Time for the pre-schoolers. They sang 3 songs, including 2 nursery rhymes & Pure Hearts' I'm Yours. The little kids loved it & it proved a good opportunity for the boys to practice their performance skills (& their mates enjoyed recording them on their mobile phones for the purposes of future humiliation!...)

I love music in the library! I play my iPod each afternoon and the students love it. I need to make a blog article about a program that I ran called ROCK THE MIC. High school students read poetry and student bands played. It was awesome! We packed the library and Rocked the Mic! Let me know if you are interested and I will post a blog article on my site - GettingBoysToRead.com
