as The ADHD Librarian...

... I already have a blog (www.adhd-librarian.blogspot.com) so pop in and see that one. It has lots of stuff in the archives and I plan on getting back to semi regular updates sooner or later.

Hi Johnny,
I'm a teacher librarian & recently started a community based blog for getting boys to read - http://GettingBoysToRead.com. Please send me a friend request if you'd like to network, share ideas, and learn more about getting boys to read.

Sincerely,
Mike McQueen

Yay, it so nice to see that there are other ADHD librarians out there! I'm in library school now, and I'm ADHD(emphasis on the H) and LD. When I started my program I was certain that this was going to have to be my dirty little secret. Not true. While I don't see eye-to-eye with everyone (some professors and cataloging students think I'm weird and spazzy), I've been able to make a go of it. I've even met a few other ADHD/LD Librarians. I keep meaning to post on my blog, but (of course) I never seem to get around to it. Anyway, I'm giving it another go. www.mindswideopen.wordpress.com

....with golden soil and wealth for ..... glad to count you amongst my ozzie friends. Love your bright red mad page....! Hosting some masters students for a visit this week, makes me think you should finish yours, if only to get it out of the way. :-)

Hi Johnny - Middle of the desert. Just finished reading a book called Tanami: across the desert on foot - about 2 guys who walked across the Tanami in 2002, Amazing story. Like the See and Why ... more inspiring than the initials

Thanks Janice,
I like the see and why idea and I keep expanding the explanation.
At the moment I'm thinking that some of my patrons want something they can see and others want to know why.

Glad you liked it.
Most of the time writing things down is just a less destructive form of therapy than Gin and Tonic. Although I have grown to enjoy the responses from people reading it.
