The laptops have arrived

I elected to go through a reseller we've worked with on several occasions in lieu of having to haggle with Dell, HP, etc. Here's what we managed to get.

Dell Vostro 1500

2 gig RAM

1.60 gigahertz Intel Core2 Duo

NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT with 256MB dedicated Video Ram

Best Buy has a bad reputation from the general public, but I've found if you know how to cut through the salesman crap it's not so bad.

I have an HP laptop I really like, It's probably my favorite… Continue

A whole new world ...

I started work at my local library on July 5. Up until then, I updated a website for a local jewelry business known as House Of Onyx, INC. This job has quite a bit more responsibility and things to learn than my previous one.

One thing I'm attempting to master is SirsiDynix's Unicorn. I've learned quite a bit about it, but there are a few things that I still need to acquire more knowledge on. One thing I'm going to attempt is customizing our library's iBistro OPAC. I wish the program's… Continue
