Next stage of Internet spawns variety of new jobs
Only a few years ago, a job in new media simply meant Web design. No more. The advent of Web 2.0, the next stage in the Internet's evolution, has spawned a wide variety of previously nonexistent digital media jobs.
An interesting note, is that the article indicates that the skills are so new that they can only be learned while on the job. This is a long running debate that we hear in higher education. What sort of response time does our curriculum need to keep up with changing technologies?
