Thanks, Ethelle -- I also think it's way too long to just sit and watch, but thought I'd talk over it -- maybe try to find out who in the class has used wikipedia or whatever -- and/or talk about evaluating sources. Probably won't do this until the fall classes start...

I like the idea you describe but I wonder if it isn't too long at 5 minutes unless you are projecting it at a size where the viewer can actually make out some of the words. (I was watching it on a small viewer and got a tad bored since I could make out what the changes were.) I hope you try it and report back on the result.

I'm thinking of using this in an infolit class -- play it, have them go there and look at it, and then look at the wikipedia disclaimers and notes about valildity and disclaimers. Could be a good way to discuss evaluating sources etc....
