I like social bookmarking, I like the idea of being able to create networks who I can publicise links to, and RSS feeds of tags, etc that a Subject Librarian can use to bring resources to students' attention. Del.ico.us also works a bit like a search engine as you can search using your tags and see what resources other people have used the same tags for, getting especially relevant search results from those in your network or who you know.Have any of you used social bookmarking to highlight web resources to a group of students at all? What about customised search engines (Swickis)? Do they serve a similar purpose or is one better than the other?
