About Me:
I received my Ph.D. in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (1996). My expertise in Cataloging, Classification, Controlled Vocabularies, Information Systems and Technology, Metadata,and Scholarly Communication comes from being an academic librarian in a private high school, community college, and a private university. I have also been a full-time University faculty and post-doc researcher in Research I public universities where I taught graduate school students who wanted to become ALA-accredited librarians, information professions. My scholarship spans both sides of the information coin: Information Organization and Human Information Behaviors.
