About Me:
I am an experienced K12 educator, web & media producer, and entrepreneur. I am currently the CEO of Zaption, an ed tech startup that engages learners through interactive video. Prior to Zaption, I led product development and strategic initiatives for New Tech Network (NTN), which supports more than 120 project based, high-tech schools nationwide. My past projects include Brightstorm, Edutopia’s Digital Generation Project, the U.S. Dept. of Ed's "Doing What Works" website, and the Google Teacher Academy. I am also the Creator and Executive Producer of the Infinite Thinking Machine and am a popular speaker and trainer focused on innovative ways digital tools can improve teaching and learning. I earned my M.A. in “Learning, Design, and Technology” from Stanford, and a B.A. and M.Ed. from UCLA. In my free time, I enjoy family adventures, kayaking, and searching for the perfect chocolate chip cookie.
