About Me:

An educator with over 20 years experience in elementary, secondary and adult education. Currently, seconded from York Region District School Board Curriculum Consultant position to Learning Connections, an online professional learning community for educators in K – 8 schools across Ontario, based at York University, Toronto, Ontario. A recent graduate from the Masters in Educational Technology program at UBC, Deb has focused interests in educational learning theory and it’s evolution with the advent of the semantic web. She is interested in understanding how educators connect in the virtual world to direct and control their own personal and professional learning. Additionally, she is interested in open education and what that might mean for learners the world over.
